Ergon's supply and distribution network is centered on strategically located crude oil and process oil storage terminals. To maintain its low cost of transportation, Ergon subsidiaries operate terminals on significant railway and river systems from deep water ports on the Gulf of Mexico throughout the nations' inland waterways.

Ergon's storage terminals are a critical factor in its ability to respond quickly to market conditions and opportunities. The terminals feed raw material to Ergon's refineries, store finished products and meet the special requirements of customers, including major oil companies.

The St. James, Louisiana, terminal provides Ergon Refining, Inc., the opportunity to purchase naphthenic crude oils worldwide in tanker quantities.

Under rigorous quality and safety controls, products are off-loaded, sampled, tested and stored until they are ready for loading into tankers, railcars, trucks or barges.

Ergon requires all terminals, whether owned or leased, to participate with its Quality Systems Department and comply with ISO 9000-2000 standards.
